The ESB engineering degree is recognised by the French government
ESB has been accredited by the Commission des
titres de l’ingénieur (CTI) to award the engineering degree. This
national authority audits the quality of the training programme on a regular
basis.
The degree is certified by EUR-ACE, which
guarantees that the curriculum is compliant with European standards.
The engineering degree is the equivalent of a master’s degree (five years of higher education).
Skills of an ESB engineer
ESB trains engineers capable of using innovative approaches to optimise the use of wood and other biosourced materials. They have experience in new technologies and their efforts are dedicated to building a circular economy.
The main themes students will find throughout their education are:
Excellence. Students have access to the knowledge required to make the best use of wood and promote it, along with other biosourced, plant-derived materials.
Circular economy. Students know how to assess and limit the environmental impact of their choices and be responsible citizens.
Innovation. Students are trained in techniques leading to the design, development and deployment of innovative products and services.
Digital technology. Students are trained to use digital technology. They can thus add value to production data, model the behaviour of buildings, etc. Digital technology is also a set of communication tools that require training in order to be used effectively. Lastly, digital technology offers attractive prospects for e-learning.
International reach. Inter-cultural openness is necessary to enable engineers to understand the world around them.
Experimentation. ESB is a place of experimentation. The curriculum gives students different settings in which to experiment with their ideas, including projects, training modules, entrepreneurship, and so on.
